The "For the People Act" (S.1) would protect our freedom to vote, reform campaign finance, ensure fair redistricting maps, and help create a democracy that works for all of us.
The week of September 13th, U.S. Senators are returning to Washington, D.C. from research and voting rights will be a legislative priority. With redistricting already underway, we don‘t have time to waste.

Join the League of Women Voters as we celebrate National Constitution and Citizenship Day on September 17. On this day we honor the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution and work to share information because informed citizens are necessary to safeguard our democracy.
The League of Women Voters honors these concepts year-round through education and registering voters. Our motto is "Defending Democracy. Empowering Voters".
