The bill declares that every individual has a fundamental right to use or refuse contraception; every pregnant individual has a fundamental right to continue the pregnancy and give birth or to have an abortion; and a fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus does not have independent or derivative rights under the laws of the state. 
 HB22 1279 –Reproductive Health Equity Act- has been passed by the House and is scheduled for a hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday MARCH 17 upon adjournment.
1. CONTACT MEMBERS OF THE SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE  TODAY! Members of the committee will decide whether this bill moves forward for consideration by the full Senate. Urge them to vote YES on HB22-1279.
